India, May 16 -- A fter days of speculation, actor Mouni Roy and her husband, businessman Suraj Nambiar, have announced their separation. On Thursday, they shared a joint statement on Instagram (see inset), expressing disappointment over the "unnecessary and intrusive attention" on their personal lives. "We would like to state that we have decided to part ways and are taking the necessary time to address matters privately and amicably," the statement reads. They also appealed to fans and media outlets to respect their privacy and avoid spreading false narratives about either of them during this time.
