Maharashtra gets its first glass bridge over Napne waterfall
India, July 30 -- Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to watch a river gushing by as you stand over a glass bridge? Well, now you can experience it in Maharashtra's Konkan region.
As part of a push to boost eco-tourism in the state, the glass bridge, called Napne Glass Bridge, has been recently inaugurated. It is suspended over the Napne Waterfall near Vaibhavwadi in Sindhudurg. The unique bridge offers panoramic views of the cascading waterfall and lush green hills around it. It is part of the Sindhuratna tourism scheme, which is aimed at promoting lesser-known destinations across the state. It is constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.99.63 lakh and the structure measures about 22 metres in length and two metres in width.
