India, April 28 -- A ctor Nidhi Shah, who rose to fame for her portrayal of Kinjal in the popular television show Anupamaa, is now gearing up for her OTT debut. Describing her transition from television to the digital space as both exciting and nerve-wracking, Nidhi says, "I'm excited, because this is what I wanted to do for a very long time. But I'm also nervous. I am hoping audiences see the effort behind the character." The 27-year-old will next be seen in the second season of Sapne Vs Everyone. The actor admits the shift from television to digital came with its own learning curve. "I had to unlearn a lot and adapt to what OTT demands. I did workshops, dance classes, and worked on myself," she says, adding that the difference in performance styles is significant. "Television is louder in terms of expressions and delivery, while OTT is more subtle. You have to go deeper into the character," she says. A key reason for the move, she says, was to move beyond her on-screen identity. "Everywhere I go, people know me as Kinjal and not as Nidhi. I want them to know me beyond that. "It is never easy to break out of an image. It wasn't easy for me either. I got a lot of offers similar to that character, but I was clear about what I wanted and chose to say no. I want to do something different and get out of my comfort zone. I had to take that risk."...
