India, Nov. 8 -- Fat strap: Marigolds are a festive favourite, but there's more to these bright blooms than torans and rangoli arrangements. If you have leftover flowers or want to give your festive decor a creative twist, try these two easy viral DIY hacks from @meraki_tales_usa (creator Komal Vokram Patil) to make the most of your blooms. Hack 1: Make your own floating marigold candles Why stick to regular diyas when you can turn leftover marigolds into pretty floating candles? This DIY combines flowers, water and a little oil to create a festive centrepiece for your coffee table or dining area. You can also experiment with rose petals and other flowers for a layered look. How to make them: Take a clear glass or jar and place a handful of marigold flowers at the bottom. Slowly pour in water, leaving some space at the top. Crush a few rose petals or other flower petals and scatter them across the surface. Add a spoonful of cooking oil to create a floating oil layer. Take a thin cotton wick, prime it with oil and thread it through a small, coin-sized floating base made from foil or plastic. Place the wick holder on the oil layer and light it to create your floral candle. Safety note: Use a stable, heat-safe glass, keep the flame away from petals and other flammable materials, and never leave a burning candle unattended. Hack 2: Turn wine glasses into festive candle centrepieces Have a little more time to experiment with your festive decor? Give unused wine or champagne glasses a makeover with this clever upside-down arrangement. Filled with marigolds and set on a bed of colourful beads or pearls, they double up as elegant candle stands for your dining table or festive hosting setup. How to make them: Take a few wine or champagne glasses and fill each with fresh marigold flowers. Choose a flat tray and cover its surface with decorative beads, faux pearls or multicoloured glass beads. Turn the glasses upside down and arrange them on the tray, with the marigolds enclosed inside. Place a tea light on the base of each inverted glass stem to complete the arrangement....
