India, Sept. 3 -- Actors Darshan Jariwala and Apara Mehta, who married in 1980, have been living separately for 23 years but have never officially divorced. Earlier this year, Mehta shared the reason behind the separation and claimed that Darshan had called her the "ugliest woman". Speaking to Siddharth Kannan on his podcast, Jariwala has now refuted the claims, saying, "The way it's been narrated, nothing like that happened. I'm not that kind of a guy who would even tell a plain-looking woman that she's ugly. If she wants to play the victim card, she's welcome to do that; I have moved on." Talking about the divorce, he added, "I did file divorce papers, but the judge rejected the application. She didn't give her consent.
