City cafes gear up for India-Pak clash
India, Feb. 15 -- A
s India takes on Pakistan today, Mumbai's restaurants and pubs are rolling out match-night deals, big-screen screenings and fan-first experiences to pull in cricket crowds.
At Social, outlets will pair live screenings with bestselling platters such as the Power Play Platter (veg), Wings Platter (non-veg), nachos and Killer Kebab Platter, alongside beer bucket offers and discounts on select spirits. "Only 21+ allowed. If youngsters are accompanied by parents, then allowed," says Sakshi Morajkar, hostess at Social Malad.
The Irish House will host screenings alongside its regular happy hours, while Blue Bop Cafe and Bar in Khar is offering 2+1 on selected beers and an additional 20 percent off on the total bill for payments via the Zomato app. "It's a great night for group watching," says bartender Rahul Singh.
True Tramm Trunk in BKC is pushing beer bucket deals of 4+1 and 6+2, along with a flat Rs.1,000 off on select alcohol bottles. "Our T3 Special Chakna Platter is the most recommended for this high-energy match night," says marketing manager Ghanshyam Waghela.
Fans are equally excited. "Me and my friends will be looking for the best deals to enjoy the match with fellow cricket enthusiasts. The offers just make it more celebratory," says marketing professional SnayhilAneja, 29....
