BLACKPINK's Lisa makes musical comeback after 20 months
India, Oct. 25 -- Kpop girl group BLACKPINK member Lisa has released her new solo EP, Press Play, marking her return to music after 20 months. The six-track EP, released on Friday, comes after her debut solo album, Alter Ego, which was released in February 2025.
The EP features songs such as Tarantino, SaWaDiKa, V12, Cobra, Cut U Off and Sweat. While Tarantino is the lead track, SaWaDiKa was released as a single in September. The song debuted at No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving Lisa her highest-charting solo entry on the US chart.
Born Lalisa Manobal in Thailand, the singer draws on her cultural roots in the new project, as per The Korea Times. SaWaDiKa takes its name from a Thai greeting, and its music video was shot in Bangkok. The EP follows Alter Ego, on which the singer explored different musical styles as a solo artist.
The release comes a month after Lisa won Best Pop at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles for Dream, a track from Alter Ego. She became the first Asian solo artist to win the category.htc...
