India, Aug. 17 -- Actor Sharmila Tagore had an interfaith marriage with late cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi in 1969 and the couple had three children - actors Saif Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan, and jewellery designer Saba Pataudi. Recently, Saba revealed how her mother converted to Islam after marriage and introduced her children to the faith. In an interview with the YouTube channel Big Bollywood Buff , Saba said, "When Amma and Abba got married, my mother, in fact, did convert to Islam and did guide us in Islam, perhaps so that we wouldn't be confused and would have some sort of grounding. There was no temple or Hindu religion that we practised." She added "Amma gave me an understanding of Islam, Ramzan... and then it was our choice what we wanted to follow. My siblings are in interfaith marriages (Saif is married to actor Kareena Kapoor Khan, Soha is married to actor Kunal Kemmu). We've grown up celebrating Christmas, Diwali, Holi, everything."HTC...
