A devotional journey of over 1,000 steps!
India, June 22 -- The annual Pandharpur Wari has begun as devotees, known as the Warkaris, from across the state make their way to the Lord Vitthal temple, with a stop in Pune. This centuries-old tradition sees two palkis, dedicated to Sant Tukaram Maharaj (leaves from Dehu) and Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj (travels from Alandi), carrying the sandals of each of the saints travelling to the temple and are accompanied by their devote followers.
