Bridal glow doesn't happen overnight; it's built with care and consistency. "I always remind brides to start their skincare routine early, preferably 3-6 months before their wedding. This gives enough time to address issues such as pigmentation, acne scars, uneven skin tone or texture, and to build skin resilience," dermatologist Dr Shweta Tripathi tells HT ShopNow.
Dr Shweta advises keeping your routine simple with basic cleansing, toning, and moisturising (CTM), and maintaining consistency using products suited to your skin type.
Treat your skin weekly for that extra glow, either through professional facials or DIY face masks.
DIY face masks: Natural ingredients like honey, yoghurt, turmeric, and aloe vera can work wonders.
Professional facials: Opt for hydrating or brightening facials every 2-3 weeks, but avoid trying anything new too close to the wedding.
Start addressing pigmentation, hair, or other skin concerns at least 6 months before the wedding. Dr Shweta advises consulting a dermatologist before starting any active ingredients.
