'How can he misspell his son's name?'
India, Oct. 15 -- The Delhi High Court on Monday revisited the high-profile inheritance case surrounding the will of late industrialist Sunjay Kapur as allegations of forgery came to the forefront in the Rs.30,000 crore estate.
Samaira and Kiaan, Sunjay's children from second wife, actor Karisma Kapoor, have alleged that Sunjay's widow, Priya Sachdev Kapur has forged the will, with their lawyer, senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani calling it "fabricated" and full of "glaring blunders" in the court.
"The address of his daughter is mentioned wrongly. Sunjay knew her address; this is Karisma's office address. Such bloopers are uncharacteristic of Mr Kapur, who had a good relationship with his children." He also pointed out five variations in the spelling of the youngest son Azarias' name: "A meticulous and affectionate father would never commit such mistakes".
Another key issue raised was the absence of a schedule of assets, a standard annexure detailing the testator's holdings. The court noted this as "a serious procedural lapse".
Meanwhile, Priya's counsel maintained that "unimpeachable electronic evidence" supports the will's validity and denied any fabrication.htc...
