India, Oct. 9 -- F ilmmaker Suresh Triveni, who directed Patekar's cameo as soldier Nana Waghmare in Subedaar (2026), recalls how the actor agreed to the part out of affection for co-star Anil Kapoor. "His bond with Anil Kapoor was incredible and he told me clearly, 'Main yeh karunga toh Anil ke liye karunga.'" The filmmaker remembers Patekar arriving with his own dabba and discussing food between shots. "He loved talking about food. He wrapped his portions in two-and half hours." During a scene involving a gun, Patekar confidently told the crew, "Yeh mujhe mat sikha, main jaanta hoon". For Triveni, watching the two actors work together was particularly special. "There was a certain warmth and for me it was a bucket list tick to see him and Anil sir together."...
