India, Aug. 22 -- Zubin Bharucha has been appointed as Mumbai Indians' Director of Performance, the five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) winners announced on Saturday.

In the season gone by, the franchise led by Hardik Pandya had a horrible campaign, winning just four games in 14 matches. They finished second from the bottom. In fact, the franchise is struggling in the last few seasons. They haven't won since 2020. In 2024, in what was the first season for Hardik Pandya as captain, they finished bottom of the league. Last year, they improved to reach the playoffs, but that was all.
