India, Oct. 4 -- An African student's take on his time in India has caught attention online after he described studying in the country as a "mistake". But his list of seven reasons makes it clear that he meant the word quite differently.

Kalumba Mwale, a Zimbabwean student, shared his experience of living and studying in India on Instagram. What began as a decision to pursue a degree turned into an experience that left him feeling deeply connected to the country.

In the Instagram post, Mwale explained how his experience in India went far beyond getting a degree.
