World Tourism Day 2026: The Indian traveller no longer wants a hotel to tell them how to holiday
India, Sept. 27 -- Breakfast ends at 10.30 am. Check-out is at noon. The spa needs to be booked in advance. Dinner has its own timings. For years, we booked a hotel and quietly rearranged our holiday around its schedule. Missed breakfast because you slept in? Too bad. Got back late after sightseeing? Hope room service is still open. That relationship is changing. The Indian traveller increasingly wants the hotel to fit into the trip, not the trip to fit around the hotel. And frankly, isn't that a rather sensible definition of a good holiday?
