India, June 5 -- Every year, World Environment Day reminds us to reconsider the impact of our everyday choices, and few industries have a larger footprint than fashion. The global fashion industry is responsible for enormous amounts of waste, water consumption, and carbon emissions. According to the United Nations Environment Programme, the equivalent of one garbage truck full of textiles is landfilled or incinerated every second.
