India, June 20 -- The long standing belief that government jobs offer the highest status and financial security came under discussion online after a woman shared an unexpected encounter at a wedding. The post was shared on X by a user named Khushi. Alongside a screenshot of her earnings, she recounted a conversation she had at a wedding.

"Yesterday, a random uncle at a wedding told me to prepare for a government job. According to him, that's where the status is, and there's nothing worth pursuing in private work," she wrote.
