Bengaluru, April 15 -- A 45-year-old woman, a homemaker, allegedly smothered her 13-year-old daughter before dying by suicide on Tuesday at their residence in Bengaluru's Whitefield, police said.
The woman's husband, a compounder at a private hospital, was at work at the time of the incident.
Police said preliminary probe suggests that the woman may have been suffering from psychiatric issues. Two cases have been filed -- a murder case filed by the woman's husband concerning the death of his daughter and a case expressing suspicion over both deaths filed by the woman's brother, said an officer. pti
