Bidar, Sept. 15 -- A woman and her partner have been arrested from Haveri district of Karnataka for allegedly killing her 5-year-old daughter whose body was found on August 2, police officers said.
According to police, the woman and her partner strangled the girl to death, attempted to burn her body near the Tunga Upper Bank Canal in Kuragunda village, and later disposed of her remains in the Tungabhadra River in Ranebennur taluk. The husband asked for his daughter, but the woman claimed that the child was in Mysore and was unwell, police said, adding that the father lodged a case subsequently. htc
