India, May 22 -- Kevin Warsh was sworn in on Friday as the new chair of the Federal Reserve.

He is married to Jane Lauder, a senior executive at the Estee Lauder Companies and an heiress to the family fortune. She is the daughter of billionaire Ronald Lauder and Jo Carole Lauder, and the granddaughter of cosmetics pioneer Estee Lauder.

Warsh and Jane Lauder met while studying at Stanford University and married in 2002. The couple has two children.
