India, April 1 -- Social Security beneficiaries in the US can expect payments to follow the usual staggered schedule in April, with disbursements based on birth dates, according to NewsNation.

The Social Security Administration distributes retirement benefits on different Wednesdays each month, depending on when recipients were born.

For April, the schedule is as follows:

Social Security payments saw a modest increase this year due to a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA). As reported by NewsNation, the 2.8% adjustment announced in October raised the average monthly benefit for retirees by about $56, from $2,015 to $2,071.
