India, Sept. 16 -- The West Bengal government has withdrawn the approval given to ISKCON-linked Akshay Patra Foundation to serve mid-day meals in state-run schools in four districts. "It was a policy decision," said a senior official of the education department. The nod was granted to the organisation in August, months after the BJP came to power in the state. "We understand the decision was made after much deliberation and we respect the same. We appreciate the steps taken by WB government to strengthen PM POSHAN program," Bharatarshabha Dasa, national president, Akshaya Patra Foundation, said.htc
