India, June 17 -- On June 15, 2026, the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) officially launched a new program called the VA Partial Claim Program to help military homeowners avoid foreclosure. This program was created under the VA Home Loan Program Reform Act, which was signed into law on July 30, 2025. It is designed as a foreclosure-prevention tool for VA-backed home loans only. Under this program, the VA can pay the missed mortgage amount on behalf of the homeowner to bring the loan current.
