India, Aug. 20 -- justify;">Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced free travel for women in state-run buses on August 28 and 29 on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

Under the decision, women travelling within Uttarakhand on buses operated by the Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC) will be eligible for 100% fare exemption on both days. The state government has issued an order directing the corporation to make the necessary arrangements.
