India, Sept. 27 -- The authorities in Uttarakhand have begun the process to issue death certificates for those still missing in the Dharali tragedy so that compensation could be distributed to their families without delay.

On August 5, flash floods tore through Dharali village in Uttarkashi district. Officials said two bodies have been recovered so far in the Dharali tragedy, while 67 others, including 25 Nepali citizens, remain missing. Since the incident, rescuers are still engaged in search operations.
