India, July 21 -- The US has frozen a crypto wallet with about $130 million that it says is linked to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), according to the US Treasury Department. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced the action as part of efforts to stop Iran from using crypto to move money. Officials said the wallet freeze is part of a larger campaign called Operation Economic Fury, which aims to block Iran's financial network through digital assets.
