UP woman forges SIR forms of sons living abroad; all 3 booked
LUCKNOW, Dec. 7 -- In a first-of-its-kind action in Uttar Pradesh, a woman and her two sons have been booked for providing false information during the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Rampur district, authorities said on Saturday.
According to Rampur district magistrate AK Dwivedi, during the digitisation of SIR forms submitted in assembly constituency 37 (Rampur), Part 248, the BLO (booth level officer) found that Noorjahan Khan fraudulently filed forms for her two sons - Aamir and Khan - who have been living in Dubai and Kuwait, respectively, for several years.
