UP man fleeing with rented Thar killed in Goa
Panaji, Nov. 2 -- A tourist from Uttar Pradesh was allegedly murdered by a 31-year-old man in Goa for attempting to steal an SUV he had rented from the accused, police said on Saturday, adding that three accused have since been arrested.
Kapil Chaudhary (19), was found dead in North Goa's Thivim on Friday morning, with injury marks on his face and body, officials said.
During investigation, police narrowed down on a suspect, identified as Gurudatta Lawande from Candolim, a coastal village in north Goa, who had rented out a Mahindra Thar SUV to Chaudhary. After he was detained, the accused confessed to have killed Chaudhary after he attempted to steal his SUV, they added.
