UP Cong chief booked over remarks against pm at mahoba
Jhansi, May 24 -- Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Ajay Rai and his supporters were booked on Saturday for allegedly insulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi at an event in Mahoba district on Friday, police said.
Based on a complaint lodged by BJP worker Neeraj Rawat, police have booked Rai, former state party secretary Brijraj Ahirwar and their 25-30 supporters under several BNS sections, including 126(2) (wrongful restraint), 352 (intentional insults), 196(1) (promote enmity and hatred).
