LUCKNOW, Sept. 1 -- Claiming that the people of Uttar Pradesh have already decided to bring the Samajwadi Party back to power, party president Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday exhorted workers to ensure a better performance in the 2027 assembly elections than in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

Addressing a gathering of leaders and workers from various districts at the party's state headquarters in Lucknow, Yadav said the party must remain united and ensure that not a single supporting vote is lost. He warned cadres to remain vigilant against "conspiracies" by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said there should be "no deception this time".
