India, Jan. 31 -- Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi on Friday awarded commendation cards to two Bactrian camels and a pair of army dogs for their outstanding contribution to operations in some of the most challenging deployment areas in the country, officials aware of the matter said. The services of two Zanskar ponies, an indigenous and endangered breed, were also recognised, the officials said. "The felicitation recognised the silent service, endurance and loyalty of these unsung warriors," said an official aware of the development. HTC
