India, July 6 -- Tyler Robinson's preliminary hearing starts Monday, July 6, in Utah. The five-day preliminary hearing is taking place less than a year after he allegedly murdered Charlie Kirk.

Kirk, 31, was allegedly shot dead by Robinson on September 10, 2025, during an appearance at a campus event in Utah. The shooting happened around 12:20 pm local time during a student Q&A at UVU in Orem, per a statement from Utah Valley University (UVU).

Kirk's widow, Erika Kirk, and his parents are expected this week in a Utah court where prosecutors seeking the death penalty will argue that Robinson should stand trial for murder.
