India, Aug. 23 -- Pune city police's Crime Branch Unit 5 on Saturday arrested two men wanted for nearly two years in connection with an armed robbery case registered at Deccan police station, police said.

The accused were identified as Shahrukh Kadir Khan Pathan (28) and Farukh Kadir Khan Pathan (26), both residents of Ajintha taluka in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district. They were arrested from Jangjala village in the district.

According to police, the two were among six suspects allegedly preparing to commit an armed robbery in the Abhinav Road area under the Deccan police station limits on October 24, 2024. A beat marshal who spotted the group attempted to stop them.
