India, Aug. 17 -- While the massive Vadhvan Port takes shape on paper, two townships have also been planned in the vicinity: one around the bullet train station at Boisar and the second at Dahanu taluka. Recently, CM Devendra Fadnavis announced plans for a 'Fourth Mumbai' around Vadhvan Port while the Maharashtra Maritime Board has cleared another port at Murbe.

The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) is the planning authority for the 514 sq km at Dahanu taluka. However, MSRDC chief Anil Gaikwad told HT that 70 per cent of the area was an eco-sensitive zone.
