Ferozepur, Aug. 9 -- The Counter Intelligence (CI), Ferozepur, in a joint operation with the Border Security Force (BSF) busted a major cross-border drug-smuggling network with the arrest of two people and recovery of 30.2-kg heroin on Saturday.

They were held near Chak Wala Khitcha village, about 8 km from Fazilka.

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said that the arrested accused have been identified as Sukhwinder Singh of Walle Shah Uttar village in Fazilka district, and Manpreet Singh of Nawan Hasta village, Fazilka. Police also seized a bike (PB-05-AS-9856) allegedly being used for smuggling activities.
