India, April 4 -- Two people were killed in separate accidents in the past week on the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway and Southern Peripheral Road (SPR), police said on Friday.
Police identified the deceased as Salman Hussain, 37, a native of Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh and Sumit Kumar, 26, of Shikohpur, Sector 78.
According to police, on Thursday night, Hussain was riding a scooter when a speeding truck hit him from behind near Bilaspur Chowk. The driver of the truck fled the spot with his truck and has not been arrested yet.
Hussain was critically injured and was rushed to a hospital by commuters but was declared dead by doctors, police said.
