LUCKNOW, Feb. 13 -- An additional professor at King George's Medical University (KGMU) was suspended on Wednesday after a resident doctor from the department of paediatrics accused the senior faculty member of inappropriate behaviour, officials said on Thursday.
This is the third case of alleged sexual harassment at KGMU in the past 50 days.
University authorities have constituted a seven-member Vishakha committee (internal complaints committee) to conduct a fair investigation, officials said.
KGMU spokesperson Dr KK Singh on Thursday said immediate action was taken after the complaint surfaced.
