New Delhi, Aug. 8 -- The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) on Friday held a third round of discussions with Meta, this time with the company's technical team, focusing on the functioning of its platform algorithms, two people aware of the matter said. The meeting, held at Electronics Niketan and chaired by MeitY secretary S Krishnan, is part of the government's continuing engagement with Meta after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Facebook Reel was temporarily restricted on July 28 allegedly due to an error in the company's automated systems.
