India, Sept. 28 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday demanded a relief package of Rs.50,000 crore from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Union government to mitigate the damage done by the floods that ravaged many parts of Maharashtra, especially Marathwada. The demand came a day after chief minister Devendra Fadnavis met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, seeking substantial funds to compensate affected farmers.
