Hyderabad, Aug. 12 -- Around 7.33 million names, accounting for 21.7% of the total 33.8 million electors, are likely to face deletion in the draft electoral roll following the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Telangana, chief electoral officer (CEO) C Sudharshan Reddy said on Tuesday.

The enumeration process under the SIR concluded on Monday and the draft rolls are likely to be published on August 17.

Of the 33,826,448 electors registered in the current rolls, enumeration was completed and digitised for 26,487,214, or 78.3% electors, the CEO said. "The enumeration forms of as many 7,339,234 electors, accounting for 21.70% could not be collected and uploaded," Reddy added.
