India, Aug. 11 -- A techie's journey from earning Rs.37,000 per month in his first job to making over Rs.2.2 crore a year after 11 years has caught the internet's attention. In a Reddit post, the techie shared his career journey, saying that he comes from a middle-class family and did not study at a tier-1 college.

The software professional shared that he started his career in 2015 with a salary of Rs.37,000 per month at a service and consulting company. He said that the company had a good tech culture and helped him learn and gain experience. Then, he shared that he got a promotion, and after 4 years, his salary grew to nearly Rs.1.1 lakh per month. However, he said that he eventually became "complacent" and decided to switch jobs.
