India, Feb. 9 -- Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd and its subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover have begun operations at their new manufacturing facility in Panapakkam, located in Tamil Nadu's Ranipet district. The plant marks the first phase of a greenfield project that will build next-generation vehicles, including electric models, for both Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Jaguar Land Rover brands.

The first model to roll out of the Panapakkam facility is the locally assembled Range Rover Evoque. The facility was inaugurated by M. K. Stalin, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, along with N.
