Tactics matter, but at least let them play
New Delhi, June 20 -- There was so little action in the first half of the game between South Korea and Mexico that the only statistic Opta could come up with was this: the six offsides in this match (four by Korea Republic and two by Mexico) is the most in the first half of a World Cup game this year.
Things got a little better in the second half. Mexico's goal in the 50th minute injected some urgency into the game but it wasn't until the last 10 minutes that South Korea truly started going forward and when they did that, they looked a different side.
