India, Nov. 6 -- A Khed court has granted anticipatory bail to Kiran Shivaji Gawade, a director and partner of a dairy processing unit, in a case involving an alleged network manufacturing and supplying adulterated synthetic milk.

Additional Sessions Judge AP Kanade observed that the recovery of whey powder, emulsifier and shampoo from another accused was not sufficient, by itself, to establish Gawade's involvement in the alleged supply chain. The order was passed on November 2.

"The fact that whey powder, emulsifier and shampoo was found in possession of accused Sushant Hinge is itself not sufficient for drawing an inference that the applicant is involved in the chain for supply of adulterated milk," the court observed.
