Suvendu Adhikari unveils new West Bengal tourism logo, plans rRs.r500 crore sector boost
Kolkata, Sept. 5 -- West Bengal chief minister Suvendu Adhikari on Friday unveiled a new tourism logo and brand identity, announcing plans to invest around Rs.500 crore in the sector and improve infrastructure, connectivity and tourist facilities across the state.
"We have destroyed the tourism infrastructure in our state even as other states have moved forward. Tourists pass through West Bengal to reach Sikkim. More than Darjeeling and Kalimpong they prefer Gangtok. We have to come out of this," he said.
