India, March 5 -- A Sukhoi-30 fighter jet went missing from radar on Thursday after takeoff from Jorhat in Assam.

Officials said that the aircraft took off from Jorhat and lost contact at around 7:42 pm on Thursday.

A search and rescue mission has been initiated for the IAF Sukhoi-30 MKI that went missing on Thursday.
