Sub-inspector, constable held for robbing U.P trader of rRs.r8 lakh
India, April 2 -- A sub-inspector and a constable were arrested by the Delhi Police on Monday for allegedly wrongfully confining and robbing a businessman of Rs.8.40 lakh near Ajmal Khan Park in Karol Bagh last week, police said on Wednesday.
According to deputy commissioner or police (DCP) (central) Rohit Rajbir Singh, the arrested duo, SI Mahavir and constable Vicky, were posted at the Desh Bandhu Gupta (DBG) Road police station in central Delhi. A case of robbery and wrongful confinement was registered at the DBG police station under sections 309 and 127 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
