India, Oct. 21 -- A social media influencer with over 1.4 million followers was found dead at his Chennai home on Tuesday night as police suspect it as a case of suicide.

Police said the victim allegedly died by suicide at his residence in the city as he was targeted for offering financial advises without the license from capital market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

The victim was known for his various videos on social media channels Instagram, YouTube offering financial advice to people in Tamil explaining about making investments in various financial instruments including mutual funds, trading among many others.
