JAMMU, Aug. 23 -- Following death of a 14-year-old girl, who delivered a stillborn child during her illegal pregnancy abortion on Thursday, senior superintendent of police (SSP) Kishtwar, Naresh Singh has constituted a six-member special investigation team (SIT), said officials on Saturday.

"The SSP has constituted a SIT to probe the alleged repeated rape, illegal abortion and death of a 14-year-old girl and her stillborn child in Kishtwar's Chatroo on Thursday," said a police officer.

The SIT is headed by ASP Kishtwar, Pardeep Singh Goria, and its members include SDPO Chatroo deputy superintendent of police Nitish Kumar, SHO Chatroo inspector Rishi Kumar, and three other police officers, he added.
