Hyderabad, May 2 -- Six members of a family were killed when a car which they were travelling in rammed into a parked truck on Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Shamshabad on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Friday evening, police said. The accident took place near Exit 16 at Pedda Golkonda village at around 4 pm. "The Wagon-R car, travelling at high speed, crashed into a lorry that was parked by the roadside. The impact was so severe that the car was wedged halfway into the rear of the lorry," a senior officer said. Six people travelling in the car, including two children and a woman, were killed on the spot, while another woman was critically injured.
